The URCA Annual Scholarship Award
Each year, URCA recognizes the scholastic and community achievements of one member with the award of the Union Roofing Contractors Association Scholarship. While the selection committee receives applications from many well-qualified candidates, we believe there are many more members who would apply if only they knew about the award.
Who may apply?
URCA members. That includes the owners and employees of URCA member companies, including field crews, their spouse, children and stepchildren.
How much is awarded?
- $3,000.00 scholarship, renewable for three years based on the following:
A. The recipient must maintain an annual grade point average of 2.0.
B. If the recipient is an employee, or the spouse, child, stepchild or sibling of an employee, the employee must be gainfully employed by a URCA member company upon renewal. -
$1,500.00 scholarship, non-renewable and based primarily on financial need.
What is the award to be used for?
Studies on the graduate or undergraduate level at a college or university, including a community college. One third of the award is paid directly to the honoree with the balance paid directly to the college or university.
How do you obtain an application?
